Tug -- Marie James -- Cerebus #10

Tug by Marie James

Amazon: US | UK | CA | AU

Genre: MC Romance
Series: Cerberus MC; Book 10

The plans I made for my life didn't pan out.

I walked away from my best friend, my lover, the only man I could see spending my life with to make a career of being a Marine, but it didn't happen.

A car accident took him away from me before I realized the mistake I'd made.

Now, thirteen years later, I've met a woman and a man who makes everything seem ideal.

He's perfect in a familiar kind of way, and she's the kind of brand new you can't get enough of.

It's just my luck that one's a ghost and the other is my boss's daughter.

These plans may not pan out either.

**This is NOT a paranormal romance **
**Tug is a standalone MMF novel in an interconnected series**

My review
****

I really love the Cerebus series and I enjoy a mmf book as well so this should have been right for me but it fell a little short and it's hard to put my finger on what it was that felt off, maybe it was the never ending conflict between the three characters. I just needed them to be a bit happier together to make me feel like they really liked each other. I still enjoyed the story and seeing all the characters is always nice.

I have to disagree with some of the reviews that suggest this book was like so many mmf books where someone is left out. I thought the author did an amazing job making everyone come across as important as the other. There was an old bond between Tug and Max that Jasmine doesn't have but her new connection was very strong with both guys. So that wasn't a problem for me. It was just that constant drama between them that frustrated me. If it wasn't one it was the other with an issue and I just wanted them to get together already.

I am glad this author takes the risk in her series to try new genres and Snatch is still my favorite story in the series and I hope she keeps exploring new genres or more mm. I will continue to follow the Cerebus guys how could I not and the ending of Tug will leaving you wanting more.
