But after my last deployment to Syria, being a Marine was no longer an option.
Unfortunately, my not so honorable discharge from the Corps didn't get rid of the demons created while I was enlisted.
Not even my childhood friend can save me. I'll destroy her just like I destroyed everything else I touched.

My Review
Be prepared for an emotional journey with this one folks. Griffin returns home from war and he is not the same guy who left. I have read a few books that feature a returning serviceman and this one is up there with one of the best with how is was handled. I'm not sure what it would be like but Griffin's issues seem honest and heartbreaking.
One part of me wanted to tell Ivy to leave Griffin when he was being a bit of a self destructive fool but Griffin latched onto my heartstrings as much as he did Ivy's and I could understand her need to comfort him.
I totally love this series and I have reread a few of the stories more than once and while I'm not sure this is quite at that level it still had me reading until 1am even knowing I'm too old to be that tired the next day this book was worth it.
I fully recommend this book especially if you are following the series. I think I'm going to reread Gigi story next so happy reading.
