Release Date: July 11, 2019

Cover Design: Angsty G

Synopsis

𝙃𝙚’𝙨 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙄 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙧𝙪𝙣 𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙮 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢.
There’s a long list of things I don’t handle well:
Change.
Relationships.
Breakups.
But there’s one person above everything else I can’t seem to get a handle on.
𝘉𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘺 𝘞𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦.
In short, he’s perfect. The reality, he scares me.
He’s the opposite of what I usually go for. He’s bigger. Intimidating. He reminds me of someone I’d rather forget.
When I need to find a new place to live, Brody offers me his spare room, but I have no plans on taking him up on the offer. He doesn’t know what happened to me five years ago, and I want to keep it that way.
But with limited options, I find myself outside his apartment holding a full moving box and wondering: How can I do this without exposing the darkest part of my past?

About the Author

Eden Finley is an Amazon bestselling author who writes steamy contemporary romances that are full of snark and light-hearted fluff.
She doesn't take anything too seriously and lives to create an escape from real life for her readers. The ideas always begin with a wackadoodle premise, and she does her best to turn them into romances with heart.
With a short attention span that rivals her five-year-old son's, she writes multiple different pairings: MM, MMF, and MF.
She's also an Australian girl and apologises for her Australianisms that sometimes don't make sense to anyone else.

My Review
*****
This is the sort of story that leaves you with a book hangover. I couldn't start a new book for a few days and that was for a few different reasons. Firstly when I read a 5+ star book like this I know the chances that the next book I pick up being at the same standard is slim so I'm hesitant about what to read. Second the emotional nature of this book leaves you a little wrung out at the end.

I loved book 1 of the Steele brothers and had the biggest crush on Law but didn't warm up much to Anders. I knew he had gone through some stuff and had plenty of issues but I just couldn't connect with him so I was a bit concerned how I would go reading this but I love all of Eden Finley's work so had to give it a go and what I got was so much more than I bargained for.

The Anders we meet her has such an amazing story to share. He has to overcome so many barriers and each time he does I just wanted to jump for joy. The reason Anders wants to get better is because of the lovely Brody. Wow what a guy he is. He is patient and caring and don't forget yummy. The perfect guy for Anders. Watching their relationship develop made me so happy.

I don't have a mental health issue but I do work with a girl who struggles with a lot of similar issues to Anders and even though I though I understood before how things were for her I actually feel now I have a better ideas of what dialogue might be going through her head. This isn't a book that you read, put down and move on, I feel like this story will make me more empathetic to those living with mental health issues. I will never again play down how hard it might be to do something I find easy. Thank you Eden Finley for giving me that gift.
