My Review
Well to be honest it took me a while to warm up to this book but I think it was mostly because I was holding a grudge that the authors were taking a break from the Baileys series which I am so in love with. Then other reason was because Enzo wasn't easy to love or connect with until around the halfway mark. After that things turned a corner and I started to like Enzo and then I really started to like him. By the end of the book he was fully redeemed but he is no Bailey haha.
I loved the female character Annie from the start. She is strong, determined and clever. Annie is more than a pretty face and she proves it time and again. She is just the right person for Enzo and I enjoyed their dynamic.
There are lots of moments in this book that share real issues and I think it was great to see the authors touch on some deeper issues while maintaining a fun romance.
I also have to say I kept wondering when the sexy filthy boss part would arrive and when it did I was not disappointed. It feels like there was a really good balance between story and steam I was just being a bit inpatient for the fun to begin.
I'm glad I stuck with the book and while it wasn't perfect it did leave me with a big smile and sigh. Can't wait for more Bailey's and Carm's story.
