My Review

  • I have just finished this book and I can't tell you how moved I am. I'm not sure why I picked this, I think it's because I like sports romance but I got so much more than I bargained for.
This book is about August and Iris and a connection that I have only seen a few times in other books. It doesn't matter how far apart they are it is always there.
These two choose a path that is long and hard. It was very difficult to read at times. I felt like I was right there with Iris and it hurt but once I had started this book, no matter how ugly things in the story got I couldn't stop reading.
You could see things slowly go from bad to worse and you got an understanding on how people end up in the situation they always promise they never would.
August turned out to be one of the best men I have ever read. He is such a beautiful soul and he is the type of guy you wish there were more of in the world.
This book is very graphic. It is not a light hearted sports romance it is so much more. You go deep inside the darkness with the characters but if you hold onto the end I promise it is all worth it.
