Beyond Repair book 1 Broken Girl a must must read .My review

I can not express how much this book made me feel. Sometimes you can read and take nothing in and other times an author takes you on a journey that you don't want to end and that was what happened here. Before I started reading Beyond Repair I lost a family member to suicide because of depression. I wasn't sure I would be able to read this book but once I got started I couldn't put it down. The story is about Lydia, a woman with mental health issues returning home, a place that does not help her mental stability. Lydia reunites with her best friends cousin Callum who has also just returned home. Callum has made judgements about Lydia and Lydia makes herself out to be someone she isn't just to annoy people. This is more than a simple romance between Lydia and Callum. It is about true friendship through the toughest of times, about resilience, and the daily struggle someone with a mental health issue faces. While this book was confronting for me in my situation it was also very healing. I was moved to tears and can not wait for the next part. The writing was wonderful, the story moved along nicely and the conversations were engaging.
