Review to come on this one but so far I like this author and her work
Sometimes on facebook book sites you get asked what was
the last book that made you cry, for me it will now be this one, but don't be
put off by that it was one of the best books I have read in a while. This book
was not the usual boy meets girl etc etc, the author managed to run 4 people, 2
relationships alongside each other so well. It did take a few chapters for it
all to start clicking into place but once it did boy did the book grab me and I
could not put it down.
The story starts when Courtney is rescued from the
side of the road then flashes to years later when she is all grown up. A chance
meeting with Serena who is passing through changes Courtney and Serena's life.
The story has a slight paranormal aspect but even if you don't usually enjoy
these things I don't think you will be put off at all. Courtney's connection to
Serena, her twin brother Austin and their friend Jake is so special that it
actually made my heart ache.
I can't recommend this book enough. I don't
think you will be disappointed with this beautifully written story, even with
the outcome I was still very happy with the ending, even though I was wishing it
was a bit happier.
